I realize my last post was on the same theme but I hope this is not going to become a habit! The login problems many of you experienced today were actually a different problem than the one that happened last week. Both problems are related to increased traffic to our site, however, and the need for us to better deal with this situation.
We have made adjustments to the site which should help in the short term. We are also planning to add an additional server at the end of next week which should help even more. I am very sorry for the inconvenience and I do appreciate your understanding.
Thank you to all of you who sent emails to let us know.
I just wanted to apologize to all of you who were unable to log in and were inconvenienced when our server went down yesterday morning. For some reason an error occurred in the database and the database shut down. We were able to repair the problem yesterday and everything is working fine now. Sorry for the disruption.
Vox just came out with a new Groups feature so I am trying it out. I have created "The Linguist Community" group to which we can all post and comment and find other Linguist members. I'm not sure exactly how it will all work but I will be sending out invitations to you all so please join and find out how it all works. I think it will be a good way to keep track of all Linguist members including those we may not all know about. Once you have joined please make sure to invite any other Linguist members who are not yet in our group.
先週の月曜日の夜にすごく強い嵐がありました。風が１００ｋｍ以上にありました。沢山の大きい木が倒れてしまいました。隣の人の家にある木が彼らの屋根に倒れてしまいました。木が一回まで倒れたとダメージいっぱいしました。沢山のきが倒れたから私たちの近所が二日間電気がありませんでした。最小のひはちょっと面白かったですけど次の日がめんどうくさいになりました。運がよかったその日に午前３時でんきが戻りました。
This past Thursday night we had a huge windstorm with winds over 100 kmh. Many large trees were knocked down including one that came through our neighbours roof, through their bedroom and into the floor below. Because of all the trees coming down and breaking power lines, we had no power for almost two days. It was kind of fun for the first little while but it was starting to become a little annoying by the second day. Fortunately, we got our power back in the afternoon of the second day.
Many of you have been asking for us to add "next" and "previous" links to the bottom of our Discussions list so that you don't have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to see them. We're sorry it took so long to do this obvious thing but we have finally done it! Enjoy!

We are currently having trouble adding some blogs from Japan but we hope to add these blogs soon. Let us know if you have a blog we don't know about so we can add it to our list!

先週末はRemembranceDayのために三日間の週末でした。天気はとても悪かったです。雨は沢山振った。
悪い天気のに今日私が活動沢山をしました。今朝友達とテニスをしましたとその後ほかの友達３人とフットボールをしました。テニスは中にしましただけどウットボールはそとでしました。わたしたちがとてもぬれてしまいました。私の体は今硬いと疲れた。
悪い天気だけど活動的な週末も出来ました！
