Finally! Our new site is ready! The new version of TheLinguist is called LingQ ("link") and is now open to our active members for beta testing. It won't be long now until the full multi-language launch. All you active members, start using it! Let us know how you like it.

We made quite a few minor changes to our front page today in the hopes of improving our Search Engine Optimization. This means that we are hoping the changes we have made will help our site appear on the first page of search results in Google and in Yahoo. In this way, more people (hopefully many more people!) will find our site and join our community of linguists. If you notice many more new people in the next week or so you will know why!
I will now attempt to write more or less the same thing in French. Any of you French speakers out there feel free to jump in and correct me. I should really be doing a lot more listening and reading to French before I write but I want to put something up here so here goes!
Pour les deux semaine passe, nous avons eu une specialiste a SEO qui a fait beaucoup des changements a notre site. On a fait tous les changements a fin que ameliorer notre search engine ranking. Si notre effort reussit, nous allons recevoir beaucoup plus de visiteurs a notre site. Nous esperons qu' un pourcentage de ces visiteurs doit etre les nouveaux membres de The Linguist.
